KIRKJA REYKJAHLIÐ (Photograph)
Village church (Kirkja), Reykjahlíð, Lake Mývatn, Iceland (1989). The tephra cone Hverfjall and table mountain Bláfjall are visible in the distance. Lava in the foreground is from the latter stages of the Krafla-Námafjall fissure swarm eruptions (1724-1729) which reached and surrounded the original church in September 1729.
